		<description>Great article, Jim. I wish I could say I disagreed about the probable changes to come, but sadly, I&#039;m afraid you&#039;re right. There&#039;s a lot of money to be made, if they can pull this off the way they apparently want, and I doubt they&#039;ll be too concerned about a few million people losing their livelihood because of it.

I&#039;m more than a little dismayed at Genachowski&#039;s silence on the issue. too. Does he just not feel it&#039;s a real issue, or has he received a gag order from above? Either way, it&#039;s disturbing.

As you said, the web is &quot;an economic ecosystem&quot;. I have to wonder if any of the players have even given serious thought to the ramifications of a loss of net neutrality.</description>
